Seller-Authorized Listing Restriction Checks
IntelResell is designed to help authorized Amazon sellers identify whether Amazon indicates a listing restriction for a specific ASIN before purchasing inventory. When the required authorization is available, IntelResell requests seller-specific listing restriction information from Amazon for the applicable marketplace and product condition. The returned information helps the seller understand whether Amazon indicates that the ASIN is available to sell, requires approval, or is restricted.
IntelResell is seeking the required Amazon SP-API authorization to provide this functionality through the getListingsRestrictions operation. IntelResell does not use this integration to create or modify product listings.
Why seller authorization is required
Amazon listing restrictions are evaluated in the context of a specific seller and a specific ASIN. General marketplace data cannot determine whether a particular seller has a restriction on a particular product. IntelResell therefore requires the seller to authorize IntelResell through Amazon's official SP-API authorization process, so that IntelResell can request that seller's restriction information directly from Amazon for the relevant ASIN, marketplace, and condition. The authorization is used only to provide this service to the authorizing seller.
